Meet farmer who changed his life through cotton farming

Alhaji Aminu was not able to farm the arable land close to his house. He never had access to any funds until recently. Thanks to the anchor borrower funding provided by the CBN.

Now, Alhaji Aminu has not only been able to complete his village house. He has also been able to send his children to a private school.

His story change when he got knowledge of NACOTAN. NACOTAN through the ABP has been able to fund over 100,000 farmers including Alhaji Aminu. He has farmed a total of 2,000 tonnes of cotton and redeemed his output to the CBN.

Central Bank of Nigeria, Government pledge support for cotton farmers

The Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) has assured members of National Cotton Association of Nigeria (NACOTAN) Ekiti chapter of its financial assistance to enable them embark on massive production of cotton in the state.

A Representative of CBN, Mr Olutayo Sowumi, gave the assurance on Friday at the inauguration of the Recovery of Cotton Outputs for 2019/2020 planting season under the CBN and NACOTAN Anchor’s Borrower programme

Newsmen report that the programme was held in Itapaji Ekiti, Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti.

Central bank urges cottton farmers to pay up Anchor Borrowers loans

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has urged the leadership of the National Cotton Association of Nigeria (NACOTAN), to prevail on the 30, 000 cotton farmers in Kano state who benefited from the Anchor Borrower programme to ensure prompt payment of the loan facility.
