The Association under the Present Executive was able to conduct awareness on cotton contamination.

The Association working under the Anchor Borrower’s programme organized by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under supervision of NIRSAL registered all farmers of the Association for the 2018/2019 cotton planting season.

The Association worked very closely with the Federal Government under the Raw Material Research Programme distributed seed free of charge in the whole cotton producing states. For the past three years.

The Association had been able to cooperate with other cotton international bodies e.g. Africa Cotton Association (ACA) whose headquarter is at Cotonou of Republic of Benin; Association of Cotton Textile International Federation (ACTIF) with headquarter in Kenya. We were able to hold International Cotton Conference which was held in Abuja in the month of March, 2018.

The Association has enjoyed tremendous good working relationship with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment as well as Nigerian Textile Manufacturers’ Association (NTMA) and Cotton Ginners Association of Nigeria.

We are also working very hard with other stake holders to ensure that Export Expansion Grant Policy of the Federal Government is reviving to serve the purpose for which it was created which is to promote non-oil foreign exchange earning into our economy is achieved.
